Despite the weather, we arrived in the city on time... as I had told all my guests to 'not miss a minute' of the nite. It was so.... grand to meander down the stairs of the Plaza Ballroom.. When were so amazed at the wonderful 'art deco' foyer with all the murals , patterns and designs of yesteryear. I felt like the 'Phantom of the Opera' was amongst us. Our lovely friends all arrived in time to sample the pre dinner drinks and canapes. I dressed in a black spanish style dress with a red boa, red gloves... G dressed as the prince in the Firebird folktale.
My friend D had a magnificent orange/yellow head dress and an amazing cape .. we couldn't believe it she won the best dressed! Another friend V won the raffle prize $500 skincare.. Both buddies were so excited! As we made our way to our 2 tables... I couldn't stop saying 'WOW' ...what a romantic place to have a Rusky Firebird Ball.... The nite started magically with the Firebird prince & the Firebird herself staging an entrance then the ballet was magnificent. From the ballet to the Rousichi Dances , the music provided by the 2 piece band was beaut and added to the mystic of the evening. We loved dancing to all the music! The menu was very fine dining... and beautifully presented. I didn't want to miss a minute of the nite... All our guests enjoyed themselves immensely. Our young folk had a great time too. It was a great nite and we have you and your events committee to thank. We will look forward to next year's Ball.
